The first zucchini and yellow squash from the garden were cooked into a very tasty (improvised) pasta primavera-type of dish last night. I sauteed a good amount of garlic and the squash/zucchini in extra light olive oil, adding thyme, oregano, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper along with some fresh basil from the garden. Right near the end of the saute, I added about a tablespoon of balsamic vinegar, cooked until it was almost evaporated, and added some extra virgin olive oil. This was all tossed with angel hair pasta.

I didn't feel like working out this morning, so I worked in the yard instead. Compost tea and watering (plus harvesting two more squash and a zucchini) for the vegetable garden, plus cleaning up after prior weeding and pulling a few more. Sort of a karma yoga feel to the whole thing.

Yesterday's visit to the sleep doctor went very well; he was pretty amazed that I've been sleeping consistently through the night. Now we begin weaning me off the trazodone, reducing the dosage by 25 mg every two weeks until it's gone (six weeks total). My first reduced night was last night, and I slept just fine. Excellent!

Woot! Sounds like you had an excellent Monday to me! Tonight's my workout, but it's [info]tahrea's birthday, so I might skip it...
